Of course war is wrong

If you're in a war, it proves that someone wasn't smart enough to realize that their enemies meant business. That's why we'll end up with such a substandard result in Iraq. Instead of letting the soldiers and officers at the sharp end decide how to prosecute the war, we let the spinless wimps in Washington decide. Wars are not won by winning the hearts and minds of the enemy. Vietnam proved that. Wars are won by punishing your enemy so thoroughly, by destroying their possessions, murdering their citizens, and pulverizing their economy, so that they regret having pushed you to the point of war. Furthermore, the more thoroughly you trounce your opponent, the less likely people are to instigate bellicosity between your nations in the future.

If it weren't for the lessons the rest of the world learned in Vietnam (America will desert her allies and leave millions of innocents to die if you simply turn up the volume of the lunatic left and break their resolve at home, America doesn't have the stomach to inflict massive civilian casualties, America will give you billions of dollars in aid if you piss her off enough to make her come break your toys), we would not have the problems we have today. If we'd let the trained warriors handle the business of war, and string up the "peace-at-any-price" appeaseniks in DC, Iraq would have been under control within 12-18 months, Syria, Iran, North Korea and Afghanistan would be lining up to trash their WMD programs and fall into lockstep with our demands, and the self-appointed "global police force" would again be respected.

Thanks to Vietnam, and the rabid media, we're seen as the joke of the world - quick to anger, easy to goad into war, but even easier to convince to abandon our convictions. Once we abandon the Iraqis to their fate, and the terrorist funded militias roll in and kill everyone who aided us in bringing them democracy, the rest of the world will cease to rely on America. Our alliances will mean nothing. Our status as a global power will be bankrupt. Our enemies in Radical Islam will convince country after country to adopt Sharia law, and no amount of saber rattling from us will convince anyone otherwise. We'll be isolated, defeated, and, eventually, converted to Islam at swordpoint, or murdered in public.

So, thanks, peacenik. Enjoy the "brave new world" you are bringing about. Just remember as the world ceases thinking about violations of womens' rights (think burquas), human rights (think death penalty for adultery), gay rights (in Iran, they execute by hanging people for being homosexual), global environmental awareness (the top oil producing countries don't care about ecology, greenie), civil rights (you can be Islamic, or you can be executed - that's freedom of religion right there), or anything else you care about, that you wanted this. You wanted this because you were afraid that we might have to make sacrifices. You wanted this because you were afraid that we might have to hurt some innocent people. You asked for this.
